The dream of Rocky River Vineyards was nurtured in our minds and hearts until 2003 when we planted our first vine. We chose to plant the muscadine grape, which is indigenous to North Carolina, and produces a sweet table wine.
Big Meadow creek flows through our property into Rocky River, which is how our name was born. The butterfly on our label is representative of a new life, a new beginning. The vine is an indication of our dreams unfolding, and the grapes represent our future.
