Bob Elliott died at the age of 71 on July 22, 2007 surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Bob was a Denton, North Carolina native, which kept him close to his roots. Bob was a successful businessman, loving father, and as he like to be called "The Preacher's wife" because his loving wife, Sara, dedicated her life to ministry.
If you had an opportunity to meet Bob then count your good fortune. For those of you who not only met Bob, but actually really knew him then you have been truly blessed. He was a kind sole with a gracious smile, who is known for his wood working, and friendship that he generously gave without fail. Bob's motto was "If you want a friend, then be a friend."
It is with a heavy heart that the Elliott family and friends lost Bob, but hold onto and find comfort that his suffering is now over and he is with our God in Heaven. As written in a poem by his daughter, Kim Palumbo, "All your friends and family hope you can now relax your weary wings and finally rest."
Just remember to "Let it shine" and that a candle never loses its glow by lighting another candle as this is part of the legacy that Bobby Holten Elliott left for all of us. |
